Hello

Let me introduce myself.

I’m Lee, and I rely on sensitivity, experience, and a deep understanding of emotional and mental health challenges as I mentor and support parents and families.

My Story

I am the mother of two grown-up sons who bring me a great deal of joy and pride. When they were 10 and 13 years-old, I went through a difficult divorce, which affected us all. Thankfully, we have healed, and I have been in a second, happy, and fulfilling relationship for several years now. So, if you and your family are going through a divorce or separation, it would be a privilege to guide you through this --often stormy-- period.

Although I was born in Israel, I lived abroad from a young age, which meant I grew up bilingual, speaking both Hebrew and English. I returned to Israel at the age of ten, and then lived in the US again as a young adult. That’s where my professional path began, teaching language courses--Spanish. ESL, and Hebrew-- at universities. Looking back at those experiences, I realize that I learned a great deal about adjustment and integration.

The next stage of my career, after returning to Israel, involved running my own freelance business as an editor and translator. Essentially, I spent the next 30 years reading, translating and editing academic articles in the social sciences and the humanities, which allowed me to learn and assimilate a great deal—especially in the fields of education, psychology, and child development. As early on these topics piqued my interest, I took a year-long, academic-level course taught by psychologist Rami Katz, in the Neuro-Developmental-Functional Approach (NDFA). The sum of these experiences and the knowledge acquired throughout now provide a strong foundation for my current work as a parent guide and mentor.

Along the way, I found myself in various settings with people who have a family member coping with mental illness, which led me to train as a facilitator of an academic course on cognitive communication and sharing. There I learned --and then taught others—about practical tools for supporting family members with mental health challenges. Even nowadays, I continue to be involved as a volunteer with this community.

Through this journey, I have come to understand that I find deep meaning in work where I can offer help and guidance grounded in acquired knowledge, combined with what I have learned from personal experience. That’s why today, I have chosen to work (see credentials) with parents who are seeking clarity, reassurance, and practical tools, offering a thoughtful and compassionate accompaniment tailored to each family’s unique situation.
